Our tips and tricks on how to perfect your BBQ favourites in a Roccbox

One of the great features of Roccbox is that it doesn’t just cook pizza. You really can cook pretty much anything. BBQ’s can often result in a bland, burnt on the outside, raw on the inside but with Roccbox you will be able to cook tasty, juicy meat in a matter of minutes.


Heat a cast iron pan in Roccbox for around two minutes. Pop your burgers in the pan and back into Roccbox to cook for 5-10 minutes (depending on the thickness of the burger). The heat that the preheated pan has absorbed will ensure that your burgers cook equally on both sides without the need to flip them.

To serve, add whatever you would like! A favourite burger here at Roccbox HQ is loaded with cheese, coleslaw, red onion, salad and fresh chillies, all in a freshly toasted brioche bun. Delicious!

To cook sausages in Roccbox you can use any sort of cast iron or metal dish providing it is high heat proof. Pop your sausages in the pan, drizzle with oil and cover with foil. Cook in your Roccbox for 2 minutes. Take the foil off and cook for a further 5-10 minutes depending on the size of your sausages. You should now have your base to create the perfect Hot Dog!

Serving tips – Here at Roccbox we think a hot dog is best kept simple. So pop it in a fresh roll and top with charred red onions and lots and lots of sauce.

Chicken is often a BBQ no go. We have all been there, waiting around a bbq to only be presented with a skewer of blackened chicken that is still completely raw on the inside. Well those days are now a thing of the past! Chop your chicken into bite sized chunks and toss in olive oil and seasoning of your choice. Chuck the chicken into a metal or cast iron dish and cover with foil. Cook for around 10 minutes. Take the foil off and put back in, allowing it to brown for a further couple of minutes.

To serve, mix your chicken into a tasty salad or push onto some skewers with some roasted veggies and chorizo for the perfect chicken kebabs.

Remember when cooking meat remember to use a probe thermometer to ensure it is cooked throughout.

Note – we recommend cooking all meat at around 300°C
