Recipe by Joe Boiling
Serves 2
Oven temp. 200 ℃
  • 4 Slices of Brioche
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 Egg Yolks
  • 100ml Milk
  • 4 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 4 tbsp Icing Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Maple Syrup
  • Dash of Vanilla Essence
  • Pain Perdu (or ‘Lost Bread’) is essentially posh eggy bread! A great naughty breakfast that cooks amazingly in Roccbox! Try it with some tasty fruits in the summer or bacon and maple syrup for the ultimate winter comfort food!

Whisk all of your ingredients (except the brioche) up in a bowl and leave to rest for one hour.

Once rested, dip your brioche slices into the mixture, ensuring they’re evenly coated in the mixture.

Drop a dash of oil and a tbsp of butter in a pan and pop into your Roccbox until it starts to foam.

Once your fats are foaming, add your brioche to the pan and pop in the Roccbox for 3 minutes. Then flip and cook for a further 1 minute.

Serve with maple syrup, a good dusting of icing sugar and any other toppings of your choice. Now dig in!!
