The Meatball Pizza

Serves 4
Oven temp. 450 ℃
  • For the meatballs;
  • 200g Beef Mince
  • 200g Pork Mince
  • 2 Jacob's Crackers, soaked in 100ml of milk for an hour
  • 1 Sprig Rosemary, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp Dried Oregano
  • Pinch of chilli flakes
  • For the pizza;
  • 4 Balls of Pizza Dough
  • 2 Balls of Mozzarella, roughly shredded
  • Tomato Sauce
  • 1 Large Red Chilli, sliced
  • A good handful of basil leaves
  • 4 Tbsp Grated Parmesan
  • Everyone loves meatballs and everyone loves pizza. We like to get a few chillies on top to increase the heat factor a little too…

    To make the meatballs, combine all the ingredients, season well and mould into 20 meatballs.

    Heat a pan with a little oil in Roccbox and fry the meatballs, shaking regularly until cooked through. This should take around 5 minutes depending on the heat of Roccbox. Set them to one side whilst you build the pizza.

    To build the pizzas, top the base with tomato sauce, mozzarella, meatballs, basil and red chillies.

    Using your floured pizza peel, slide your pizza onto your stone cooking floor and cook for around 90 seconds (turning regularly for an evenly cooked crust). When the pizza comes out of Roccbox, immediately sprinkle over the parmesan and serve.
