This recipe came about one day when Roccbox HQ’s Dave forgot his lunch and we had some spare dough balls in the fridge. 5 minutes later and ‘Dave’s flipping hot pizza’ was born! With both fresh and dried chilli your taste buds might not know what hit them!
Firstly, stretch your pizza base nice and thin with a decent crust (See How to prep your Pizza base)
Next, evenly spread about a table spoon of passata sauce and consider mixing in some chilli oil if you’re looking to turn the heat up.
Add your cheese. Dave decided to use Buffalo Mozzarella chunks and some cheddar to balance out the heat (well he likes to pretend it was well thought out)
Now add thick slices of chorizo, medium slices of mushroom and angled slices of fresh red chilli. Once the pizzas evenly coated swiftly slide it onto your Roccbox peel (use plenty of decent flour or semolina)
Make sure Roccbox is at around 400°C, pop the pizza in the oven and be sure to turn it at least once so it cooks evenly. After about 90 seconds you’ll be ready to garnish!
Once you’ve whipped it out of Roccbox, garnish the pizza with the parmesan, plenty of chilli flakes and some micro basil (if you’re feeling trendy) and serve with a warning!
